SUMMARY:America 250: Common Threads
DESCRIPTION:In 2026\, the United States will mark 250 years since the signing of the Declaration of Independence. America 250: Common Threads will both commemorate the events of 1776 and reflect on 250 years of American art and civic participation. An early engraving of the Declaration of Independence will anchor a group of historic documents displayed alongside textiles\, paintings\, toys\, and other works from 1776 to the present. The exhibition considers how artists and national leaders document American history. America 250: Common Threads explores how American artists historically foster civic participation and strengthen community relationships.   \nVisitors will experience how people have celebrated national and personal moments in history\, from a display of hundreds of 20th century patriotic snapshots to souvenirs collected from America’s Centennial in 1876. The exhibition explores the symbols artists turn to when celebrating or commenting on the United States: George Washington’s many faces\, eagles appearing across books\, baskets\, and coverlets\, flags seen as quilts or as documentation of the moon landing\, and more. Contemporary artists featured in the exhibition\, such as Robert Colescott\, Kay WalkingStick\, and Howard Finster\, continue to revisit national symbols and explore their resonance.   \n\n\n\n\nThe exhibition will also feature live quilting\, as local quilters and quilting guilds work in the galleries to piece quilt squares made by K-12 students across Arkansas and designed by artist Basil Kincaid.

SUMMARY:Impossible Things
DESCRIPTION:Joshua Stacy was ten years old when he asked God to let him do the impossible. \nGod said no. \nEver since he’s had one goal. Find the impossible. \nImpossible Things is a close-up magic experience for only 10 people at a time. Over the course of an hour and a half\, Joshua shares many of the loopholes he has found in the fabric of reality. He will solve problems that shouldn’t have solutions\, produce patterns that shouldn’t exist\, and happen upon coincidences that can’t be explained. Some come from the techniques he has spent years developing\, others seem to happen all on their own\, and one was set in motion before anyone stepped in the room. \nTen seats. Ten shows. \n-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:- \nWhat is close-up magic? This is not a stage show. Joshua works at a table\, just a few feet from his audience. Every effect happens in your hands\, on the table in front of you\, or in plain sight with nowhere to hide. \nRun time: 1.5 hours \nWhat to expect: Guests are seated in an intimate semicircle of ten chairs. Participation is encouraged but never required. Out of respect for the experience phones should be put away for the duration of the show. \nAge recommendation: This show was intended for a focused audience\, 16 or older. \nTicket policy: Tickets are non-refundable within 7 days of the performance. Refunds requested before that window will be honored. Tickets are transferable at any time. \n-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:-:- \nWhat people are saying: \n“We have talked about it nonstop since he left.” — Jayme T. \n“Officially bamboozled. If you are ever in a position to see one of Josh’s magic shows\, just do it.” — Tabitha L.\, Google Local Guide \n“I have no idea how he did any of these tricks.” — Tabitha L.\, Google Local Guide

SUMMARY:Eugene Onegin: A Bluegrass Musical
DESCRIPTION:MUSIC\, BOOK\, AND LYRICS BY SARAH GANCHER\nDIRECTED BY RACHEL CHAVKIN\nWORLD PREMIERE\nDEVELOPED AT THE 2024 ARKANSAS NEW PLAY FESTIVAL\nJune 10 – June 28\, 2026\nEugene Onegin—A Bluegrass Musical by Sarah Gancher (creator of the Obie Award-winning Russian Troll Farm) is a potent mix of original bluegrass and country\, barbeque\, and feverish young love. Pushkin’s novel and Tchaikovsky’s opera have been completely reimagined\, now set in 1940s rural Arkansas\, where a girl who dreams of writing songs falls for a dangerously magnetic—but jaded—touring musician.
