The Jones Center and the renowned landscape architecture firm Civitas, Inc., invites artists whose practice involves public art, community engagement and an interest in working in public space to apply for a new project with an experimental approach to collectively determine future locations for public art on the 52-acre Jones Center campus redevelopment in Springdale, Arkansas.
The vision for The Jones Center redesign planning process is to bring artists and the design team, led by Civitas, together during planning stages. The aim is to produce integrated, community-responsive public art in this new park-like setting. Up to three (3) artists will be selected to work with the design team to collaboratively identify a set of locations and artistic mediums, possibly resulting in up to three (3) public art commissions.
