About Us & Our History
Experience Fayetteville is the official destination marketing organization for the City of Fayetteville and operates under the guidance of the Fayetteville Advertising & Promotion Commission. Established to help grow and manage tourism for the city, the bureau has evolved into a comprehensive resource for visitors, event planners, and the local hospitality industry.
Our Story
For decades, Fayetteville has been recognized for its creativity, natural landscape, and welcoming atmosphere. To support the city’s expanding cultural and economic opportunities, Fayetteville’s Convention and Visitors Bureau began developing targeted tourism efforts — managing visitor services, promoting local attractions, and supporting major events that bring people to the region.
In 2017, the bureau adopted a modern identity and rebranded as Experience Fayetteville. The refreshed name and brand captured a simple idea: Fayetteville isn’t just a place to visit, it’s a place to experience — through its arts, its food, its trails, its people, and its deep-rooted community pride.
What We Do
Today, Experience Fayetteville oversees several key visitor-focused assets, including the Experience Fayetteville Visitors Center, the Fayetteville Town Center, and historic properties that contribute to the city's cultural landscape. The organization produces and supports festivals, conferences, sports tournaments, and community events that showcase and strengthen Fayetteville’s identity.
