Join us on Sunday\, August 8\, 2021 at 7:00pm Central for a reading by featured poet Ananda Lima. The reading will be preceded by a round of introductory readings by members of our poetry community.
The reading will take place virtually via Zoom with Zoom auto captions\, and an ASL interpreter will be present. Access copies of all poems will be provided via Google Docs.

FEATURED READERS:
Ananda Lima is the author of Mother/land (forthcoming in October 2021\, Black Lawrence Press\, winner of the Hudson Prize) and the chapbooks Amblyopia (Bull City Press\, 2020)\, Translation (Paper Nautilus\, 2019\, winner of the Vella Prize)\, Vigil (Get Fresh Books\, forthcoming in 2021) and Tropicália (Newfound\, 2021\, winner of the Newfound Prose Prize). Her work has appeared in The American Poetry Review\, Poets.org\, Kenyon Review Online\, Gulf Coast\, and elsewhere. She has taught at Rutgers University\, Newark and UCL\, and served as mentor at the New York Foundation for the Arts (NYFA) Immigrant Writer program and the Adroit Journal Summer Program. She has an MA in Linguistics from UCLA and an MFA in Creative Writing in Fiction from Rutgers University\, Newark.creative nonfiction\, and critical theory.
