Fundraising professionals need a seat at the table in strategic planning sessions. And your role should be more than agreeing to raise money for institutional priorities. You bring the voice of the donor, and frequently a more business-minded perspective to conversations about strategic priorities. When and how should you steer strategy to more fundable activities? What if there is no overall strategy and fundraising priorities are unclear? And what do you do when donors want to give money for programs your organization may or may not be interested in creating? Participants will be encouraged to share their stories and receive feedback from the presenter and the group. This session is geared for arts organizations with two or more development staff members. Led by an experienced national expert and local fundraiser, this will be an interactive discussion on the essential components of an integrated development plan.
Guest Speakers: Kyle May, Walton Arts Center & Jodi Wolin, inspired philanthropy.
