Art Ventures First Thursday

Art Ventures presents Goal 14, Water for Life, an exhibition on view at the Art Ventures Gallery from September 1 – October 30, 2022. This exhibition features four Latinx artists: Lourdes Valverde, David Gómez, Briseida Ochoa, and Dexta Rodríguez.

The name of the exhibition is taken from the landmark document compiled by the United Nations, Transforming Our World: The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. Goal 14, Water for Life focuses on our necessary, symbiotic relationship with water and the way unsustainable practices and plastics contamination greatly threatens that relationship.

You’re invited to our First Thursday event and the opening public reception to Goal 14, Water for Life on Thursday, September 1 between 5 pm and 8:30 pm. Regina Buono, who is a local lawyer and policy expert working toward innovation, adaptive solutions, and community resilience in water governance, will speak during the event and provide more information on how we can develop better practices.

This event will be held at our gallery on 20 S. Hill Ave, Fayetteville AR, 72701. As always, this reception will be free and open to the public! Beverages and refreshments are provided by Art Ventures, with a generous donation from Core Brewing. Parking is limited so we encourage attendees to use our shuttle that runs every 15 minutes from the bus stop at Church and Center to the Art Ventures Gallery during this event.
