Event Details

Local author Susan Culp will be talking about her work, including her latest book, “A Detective, 3 Bodies and a Bullfrog”.

Susan Culp loves a good mystery and English Bulldogs (having owned four). In both her books: “50 Frogs, 5 Babes and a Bulldog” and in this book: “A Detective, 3 Bodies and a Bulldog,” an English bulldog is featured. Using her zany sense of humor, she created this story.

Susan is a native Californian. She graduated from California State University at Long Beach with a degree in journalism. Her articles appeared in The Los Angeles Times Calendar Section and other publications. She also wrote reports for various detectives.

She began writing stories at age 6, and continued writing through high school. But after appearing in a Jr. College play, she decided to pursue a career in show businesses. She worked as a TV and movie performer, a showgirl and model. She also owned a fashion business, was a radio and mobile DJ and wrote reports for detectives.

It was after retiring and moving to the Arkansas Ozark mountains with her husband Gary, that Susan took up writing fiction again, and “50 Frogs, 5 Babes and a Bulldog” was published. When the pandemic hit and she was isolated, her granddaughter Noelle said, “Nana, why don’t you write?”.

Books will be available for sale and signing.
