The program recognizing the April 18, 1863, Battle of Fayetteville begins with a flag presentation and mayor’s proclamation, followed by musket and artillery demonstrations, a Battle of Fayetteville reenactment, a reading of the names of those lost in battle along with musketry and cannon volleys, and displays of Civil War medicine and medical techniques, as well as artillery pieces and relics.
