Greta Kresse, born in 1999 in Little Rock, Arkansas, is a painter currently based in Fayetteville, Arkansas. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Hendrix College and is currently enrolled in the Master of Fine Arts program at the University of Arkansas. During the summers, Kresse furthers her education by attending intensive programs at the New York Studio School and The Mount Gretna School of Art. In addition to her studies, she regularly teaches workshops at the Arts and Science Center for Southeast Arkansas.
As a plein-air painter, Kresse works primarily with oil paint on canvas, creating vibrant, narrative figurative paintings. Her artistic focus is on intimate interior scenes that showcase the beauty found in everyday life. Through her work, Kresse aims to capture and celebrate the small, overlooked moments that make up our daily experiences.
