A longtime local artist whose work can be found all over Fayetteville is hosting a gallery show in Fayetteville now through the end of March.
Artist Eugene Sargeant, well known for his sculptural work around the castle at Wilson Park, at Gulley Park, on Mount Sequoyah, and other spots around town, is displaying a new collection of his work at McCoy Gallery inside Community Creative Center.
The show is called “My Heart is a Room Full of Treasures”, and includes a variety of mixed-media pieces.
An artist reception in celebration of the show is set for 5-8 p.m. on Saturday, March 8. Local musicians Meadow Makers, featuring Dana Louise and Noah Richmond, are scheduled to perform at the event.
