Exhibit and Silent Auction: Honoring the Legacy of Bill Flanagan

September 7 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm
Free

Fenix Gallery is proud to announce a profoundly special art exhibit and silent auction honoring the life and work of beloved local artist William (Bill) Mayes Flanagan (1943–2017.) This rare event offers art patrons and collectors a unique opportunity to acquire original works by an artist whose vision and heart helped shape the cultural landscape of Northwest Arkansas.

Bill’s widow, Barbara Jaquish, has generously donated a treasure trove of original Bill Flanagan paintings and prints to Fenix to be sold, with the proceeds to benefit the ongoing operation of Fenix Arts & Gallery. “Bill absolutely loved Fayetteville and the arts community. I’m happy that his work will be hanging and appreciated and that this sale will benefit Fenix, an organization so important to him and to Fayetteville,” says Jaquish. A select collection of his work will be part of an online silent auction active from September 1st through September 7th at noon at fenixarts.org

More of Flanagan’s work will also be on display at Fenix September 1st-7th and available for purchase. A gathering will be held at Fenix on Sunday, September 7th, from 2pm–4pm. Winning bidders may pick up their paintings at this time. The event will also include an informal tribute to Bill and an opportunity to share memories of the artist.
