We are a husband and wife team who have been creating colored porcelain jewelry for over 25 years. Jeff has a background in science and natural chemicals while Judy has a background in art and clay. We make our own porcelain clay using a special recipe we created for our jewelry. We divide the clay and colorize it before layering and combining the colors to form patterns. These patterns are formed into logs or loaves that can be sliced (similar to bread) and each jewelry piece is cut from the loaf end and formed into whatever style we have chosen to make. After that, they are cleaned, smoothed, and shaped before firing twice in a high-fire kiln. A third firing finalizes each piece with a 24-karat gold rim.
