Step into a world where healing blooms from art, courage, and community.
The Bloom Room is a one-of-a-kind immersive installation created to honor and uplift survivors of domestic and sexual violence. Designed by artist and activist Lyshell McBride, this experience invites you to walk a path of beauty, expression, and transformation — with every detail crafted to hold space for your story.
💠 What You’ll Experience:
• A flower-lined path winding through interactive healing stations
• A life-size birdcage altar inspired by Maya Angelou’s “I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings”
• Mirror affirmations that reflect your inner strength
• A seed planting station to symbolize new beginnings
• Survivor art gallery curated by Angela Teeter
• Creative booths, live art, and gentle guidance from trained volunteers
• A final gathering space with a DJ, art tables, and collective celebration
This event is free, open to the public, and centered on healing through expression. Allies, advocates, and community members are welcome to attend in support and solidarity.
🕊️ The Bloom Room is not just an art exhibit. It’s a sanctuary for the stories we carry — and the power we reclaim.
Come as you are. Leave a little lighter.
