Art Gallery Opening: Molly Martin & Beth Bobbitt

July 11 @ 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Molly Martin is an interdisciplinary artist working across drawing, painting, and sculpture. Her work asks how surfaces can hold sensation and evoke a felt encounter. She builds tactile compositions shaped by layering, revision and color as a structural force. Originally from
Missouri, she earned her BFA in Drawing from Missouri State University and is currently an MFA candidate in Drawing at the University of Arkansas School of Art in Fayetteville, where she lives and works.

In 2021, Martin was selected for Future Tense, a juried Surface Design Association exhibition featuring emerging student textile artists from around the world, held at the Charles W. and Norma C. Carroll Gallery in Huntington, West Virginia. Her work has also been exhibited with I
Like Your Work at Chautauqua Visual Arts as well as regional exhibitions throughout the Ozarks and Northeast.

Beth Bobbitt is a mixed media artist based in Bella Vista, Arkansas, painting primarily in encaustics, which is a process of mixing and heating beeswax, pigment, and resin. Her “waxscapes” investigate the tension between real and built worlds and are deeply inspired by nature.

Beth has an undergraduate degree in fine arts and a master’s in media communications. Her work has been acquired by collectors including Square, (payment app), as part of their corporate collection and Homegrown Restaurant in Bentonville. She was one of the artist in the 2025 MAKR Studio Artist Showcase & Speaker Series and is featured at Art on the Square gallery in Bentonville, Arkansas. In 2025, her work was included in Natural State, a Femme Forward collective exhibition at Local Color Studio Gallery. In 2024, she was selected in the juried exhibition, LUSH at Midnight Gallery and was a part of an international exhibition, Canadian Encaustic Conference, Near and Far. In 2023, her encaustic works were included in a juried exhibition at Walton Arts Center’s exhibition, Our Art, Our Region, Our Time.
