During the event, Adjei-Brenyah will discuss his latest novel, Chain-Gang All-Stars, a powerful
and timely exploration of America’s prison system. The book follows the story of Loretta
Thurwar and Hamara “Hurricane Staxxx” Stacker, who compete in death matches as part of the
highly controversial Criminal Action Penal Entertainment (CAPE) program.
The event will take place on Friday, February 2nd , 2024, 6:30 pm at Bentonville Public Library.
The program includes an interview-style discussion with Two Friends Books co-owner, Rachel
