Author of “All Eyes on the Sky”

“All Eyes on the Sky” is a novel about life and death in the Nuba Mountains of Sudan. A relatively tiny region in the heart of Sudan, it has suffered decades of violence at the hands of the Government of Sudan because the Nuba people rejected the dictatorial actions of the government. The novel focuses on the life of one man, a Nuban, who, following his conscience, puts his life on the line for his people. The controversial conclu­sion is bound to attract factions on both sides of the question: Did he do the “right” thing or not?

Samuel Totten is a longtime scholar of genocide studies and is noted for conducting research into the Darfur genocide and the Nuba Mountains genocide by attrition. During the recent war in the Nuba Mountains (2011-2018) Totten illegally trucked food into the war zone to those in most desperate need. “All Eyes on the Sky, Nuba Mountains, Sudan – A Novel” is his first published novel. His second novel is “Laguna Beach: The Kaleidoscopic 1960s”. He is currently completing two new novels: “The Trials of U.S. PresiDENT Dunny Sump”, and “Fragments of Existence: A Performance Artist’s Exploration”. He is also putting the finishing touches on a book of short stories about crime against humanity and genocide perpetrated in Africa over the past 60 years.
