Buddy Shute and the Motivators blend the sounds of Memphis Blues, New Orleans R&B and Ozark Mountain grooves. From festival stages to smaller venues, they bring great tunes and good vibes wherever they go.

They’ve received airplay (and praise) on the historic King Biscuit Time radio show and blues stations around the world. Buddy and vocalist/ occasional co-writer Brenda Baskin combine lyrics with tunes that are uniquely relatable, danceable and memorable. It’s Tedeschi-Trucks meets Keb’ Mo’ with a little Dr. John thrown in for spice. Sorta.

Along with the talents of Mark McGee on harp, Steve Baskin on bass, and TJ Gates on drums, they’re true originals.
