Event Details

Join us for a special evening celebrating the artistic spirit across generations. This unique art exhibit will bring together some of the region’s most esteemed professional artists, who will inspire and mentor the next generation of young student artists from schools across Northwest Arkansas.

Experience an unforgettable evening where memories are made as our most respected professional artists pass the creative torch to the young Arkansas artists exhibiting alongside them.

Generational Journeys envisions a future of ongoing collaborations, serving as a bridge to enrich the educational experiences of talented young artists.

Showcasing Professional Artists:

·      Master Artist, James Yale: Yale keeps imagination and dreams alive. His masterful imagery of “Modern Myths” is known and praised around the world. He painted real people and places them in timeless animistic settings. Yale transforms his models into angels, mermaids, satyrs and other mythological creatures that look so real in his paintings. Every picture has subtle imagery that helps tell a story and create a New Modern Myth. James Yale passed on August 18, 2023. This will be the first time in 16 years his art has been seen by the public.

·      Judy Mauer: Judy’s love of the natural landscape, so apparent in the Ozark Mountains, brings her to the easel again and again.  The dense forest of oak, pine, sycamore and hickory invite exploration, adventure and the challenge of mastering an infinite number of greens. Bluffs, with their grayed ochre, violets and sienna supply a brief but welcome relief from green while clear flowing water reflects it all, along with the colors of the sky.

·      Cynthia Tran: Cynthia is a Fine Art Photographer based in NWA. Her work is an amalgamation of love and healing, rooted in a deep connection with others. Photography has evolved into a form of storytelling and a tool to process her journey as a woman, a minority, and as someone navigating body dysmorphia. Cynthia aims to honor the interconnectedness we share and cultivate mindfulness in preserving this sacred connection…to ourselves, to others, and to the earth.

·      Diane Stinebaugh: Diane paints realistic watercolors of creatures and scenes from her outdoor adventures. Her love for color and nature has led her to painting in acrylic as well. She is an award -winning artist whose paintings are in collections across the country and in China. She has illustrations published in 3 Children’s books. Her successful career as an art teacher spans 34 years and three states.

·      Whitney Bell: Whitney is a contemporary painter who paints intuitively, her stimulus comes from the organic shapes found in daily life and  a pursuit to create non-objective marks when painting. She paints many layers of intertwining patterns, creating a strata like composition. She has a need for it all to connect in some way, but not too obviously, akin to patterns in nature that we pass by every day. Whitney has worked as a youth art educator at Crystal Bridges. She currently teaches art at Springdale High School and continues to show her work as a Fenix artist.
