Creativity permeates through the people of Arkansas

This thought was the basis of “It’s in the air’s” curation: How could we tell the story of pioneering artists in Arkansas Music history: Jazz, gospel, rock, blues to everything & everyone it inspired, oh yeah and in 2 sets. (it’s impossible, but here’s a glimpse of a glimpse). Luckily there’s many Arkansas musicians conserving and building upon these traditions.

Yuni Wa 

Electronic, Future Funk, Vapor-wave, House, RnB, Hip-Hop, Trap all kinds of noise to get you moving. Yuni Wa has probably made it, DJ’d it and explored it.

Princeton Von Coleman, professionally known as Yuni Wa, is an American Electronic record producer and songwriter based in Little Rock, Arkansas. Since 2014, he has had 50 plus releases- Soundcloud-Wiki.  Hailed as one of Arkansas most prolific and visionary artists, get ready to stomp your feet to history, the present and the future. 

The Rodney Block Jazz Project is a quartet comprised of lead trumpet, piano, bass, and drums, sometimes accompanied by another vocalist. Block, a classically trained instrumentalist, performs a unique blend of traditional Jazz, Gospel, Hip-Hop, Bebop,Funk and Soul. An Arkansas native, he honed his skills by playing in some of Kansas City’s premier venues – Grand Emporium

“The band is dubbed as a Jazz musical outfit, but we play pretty much everything,” says Block, including Hip-Hop, Rhythm and Blues, Gospel and even Rock.

Rodney Block is a favorite in the Little Rock scene. Block the leading trumpeter has an amazing group of musicians around him who can genre switch and play a wide range of heavy hitting original music and classics that everyone can dance and sing to. 

This show is happening at CAHE studios (1004 SE 5th St, Bentonville, AR 72712).  March 26th, doors open @6:30PM music goes on @7:30PM & finishes up @10:30PM .
