QUEENDOM: A celebration of Women in the Arts for Women's History Month

Over 10 acts will take the stage at Queendom, an empowering showcase of artistic prowess dedicated to celebrating the contributions of women in the arts presented by J’Parlé Artist Group Inc. in collaboration with Her Set Her Sound. Queendom is touring the Midwest and Central South and stopping in Fayetteville during Women’s History Month on its route.

“Queendom is a utopia built in my head of women coming together to share life, energy, experiences, encouragement, and expertise,” said Jerica Wortham, Queendom organizer and founder. “This collective of creatives and lovers of creativity has been a space of joy, healing, and belonging [that] I’m so very excited and proud to share with [Northwest Arkansas].”

This tour is a vibrant showcase of poetry, music, dance, Hip-Hop, visual arts, and entrepreneurship, all aimed at uplifting women in their respective communities and beyond. Wortham is an award-winning spoken word artist featured on OWN and BBC, quoted in Rolling Stone, on the lead single of the Motown-signed music project, Fire In Little Africa (FILA), and will host Queendom throughout its tour. She brings with her a talented ensemble including Val Hardings, a powerhouse vocalist featured on The Voice, soul singer Zzaj, award-winning spoken word artists Claire Collins Campo, Dena Burks, Jillian Marie, and more. 

“Queendom is the type of experience that will contribute to the growth of women of culture in the creative ecosystems of Tulsa, Northwest Arkansas, and beyond” said Robyn Jordan, founder and promoter of Her Set Her Sound. 

Featured Arkansas artists include Babee Dee Hollywood, Jae Bizzle, Esther Reina, Love Moore, Shannon McGill, Dime, and Kamjenx. Performances and entertainment acts will appeal to a wide, cultural audience for 21 . Local artists and women-owned businesses will also vend during this special program.

Queendom will take place in Clapp Auditorium at Mount Sequoyah in Fayetteville Saturday, March 23 with doors opening at 7:00 p.m. Pre-sale tickets start at $25 and are available for purchase online. Tickets are non-refundable and if under emergency circumstances, the event will be rescheduled.
