Join Junli Song for a reception in celebration of her work as a CXF Artist in residence. This will be a night of celebration and organic conversation about the work on display. Light refreshments will be served.
Through her artist in residency, Junli Song will experiment with a silk stencil painting process she created. “My work explores my experiences of inhabiting a liminal space as a Chinese-American. Taking Western techniques of stenciling and using them with ancient Chinese materials creates a process that is neither Eastern nor Western, but something in between.” — Junli Song
Junli Song is an artist in residence through our Creative Exchange Fund Program. The Creative Exchange Fund (CXF) is a one-year programming initiative designed to activate 214 by CACHE as a community-led destination by promoting professional performing artists, artist residencies, curatorial opportunities, and music ecosystem development in partnership with the Tyson Family Foundation.
