Art Feeds is A place where children stay curious, creative, and kind.
Kids have big feelings that aren’t always easy to express. At Art Feeds, we help you navigate those big feelings through art lessons that can be done at school, at home, or in the community.

About

In 2009, Meg Bourne was 19 years old and volunteering in a classroom creating art with students. In this classroom, there was a little boy who was lethargic, struggling with academics, and had low self-esteem. The classroom teachers discovered he wasn’t being fed at home and worked to make sure he had access to food. As Meg continued doing art lessons with him, he showed tremendous progress through expression. Art was feeding his heart and mind, like the food he needed to nourish his body. The art lessons quickly grew from one classroom to more and more children.

In order to fund the supplies she needed, Meg printed and sold shirts that said “Art Feeds” with a blank space written by that original little boy. The blank was open for the buyer to fill in whatever “Art Feeds” for them. The simple t-shirt project grew far beyond expectations, and the story of this little boy is now the story of thousands of Art Feeds students.Curious

Art Feeds is an art education nonprofit with 450+ lessons and projects for kids of all ages. Our lessons are easy, engaging, fun, and grow social emotional skills. Members of Art Feeds bring this magic to their home, classrooms, and communities, with access to our online treasure trove of lessons, projects, art education training, and supply discounts. We have a range of lessons, perfect for the child, classroom, or community you're with.

We believe creativity is crucial for our kids’ growth and wellbeing. Creativity finds solutions, sparks innovations, and imagines a better world. Our lessons encourage educators and caretakers to create a safe, positive place for kids to explore their own Art Worlds (aka their imaginations). In these Art Worlds, our little artists explore new concepts, try new things, and share ideas and feelings–encouraging mental and emotional wellness, and addressing the needs of the whole child.

All profits from Art Feeds memberships support our Community Assist Program. Community Assist is designed to support schools and community organizations impacting the lives of children. Recipients receive free access to Art Feeds lessons, instructor training, year round support from our team, and art supplies.
