Kick off spring break and a week of creative fun with a
community fiesta celebrating art, stories, and the opening of our new
exhibition Diego
Rivera’s America! Come enjoy live music and performances by local
artists, flex your creative muscles with artmaking in the studios, or learn
about works by Latinx artists with gallery talks and tours. You’ll get the
chance to meet local artists, teachers, and art students as they create
large-scale paintings live before your eyes—works that will then head out into
nearby communities as public art displays.

Event Details
Holi is considered as one of the most revered and celebrated festivals of India, and it is celebrated in almost every part of the country. It is also sometimes called as the “festival of love” as on this day people get to unite together forgetting all resentments and all types of bad feeling towards each other. Holi celebrates the of the end of winter and beginning of spring. It is a celebration of rebirth and new beginnings and a time to let the bad and the negative melt away.
The great Indian festival lasts for a day and a night, which starts in the evening of Purnima or the Full Moon Day in the month of Falgun(march). It is celebrated with the name Holika Dahan or Choti Holi on first evening. Holika Dehen is cleansing and meant to burn away all the bad and evil. Next day is all about the colors.
We will be condensing both in the same evening.
The spirit of Holi encourages the feeling of love, friendship, unity, and brotherhood.
Our event:
The purpose of this event is to promote love, friendship and unity in the community while celebrating diversity.

ABOUT THE CHEFS
Chef Sandi Macklom
“I switched to the Gluten Free life 8 years ago and after seeing so many health improvements, I’ve never looked back. However, I consistently came across terrible Gluten Free options. As an avid baker and lover of all thing’s food, I sought to rectify that. Fast forward to today, and here we are! With your support, I’ve recently opened Sandi Sue’s Gluten Free Bakery in the 8th Street Market in Bentonville. “
Be sure to visit Chef Sandi there!

Chef Ana Saenz
Hello everyone! My name is Ana Sáenz and I’m from Costa Rica. I started baking since I was 4 years old with my grandma, she is my inspiration to start this business. The Magical Spatula was created when I started at Brightwater 3 years ago, mainly baking for my friends and family; until decided to open officially to the public as business this past January 2022. We offer custom cakes, fresh pastries, delicious desserts and much more…! Our products are baked with high quality and fresh ingredients from local stores; we have a variety of recipes: some from Costa Rica, some from my Grandma and other traditional French/Italian baked goods. We offer gluten free, dairy free, sugar free and low carb alternatives too. We try to keep in our menu different products for every lifestyle and season without losing our beautiful Latin culture touch.
