Energetic and accessible, acclaimed standup John Heffron shares an array of relatable experiences from childhood through life as a married father. He’s learned a thing or two about relationships with family, friends, and even himself along his journeys, gaining an astute, uniquely honest perspective widely praised among his comedy peers. Audiences of all ages relate to his enthusiastic, hard-won wisdom, recognizing how often the path to maturity is marked by universal triumphs and failures. Rather than mock differences, the Detroit native aims to engage, connect, and enlighten.

Be prepared! Led by Cheri Headrick, this workshop will offer information, advice, and coaching so performers can put their best foot forward at their next audition.
There are two registration levels – Observers and Participants.
Participants will learn how to prepare for an audition alongside the Observers, but will also have the opportunity to do mock auditions, receiving constructive feedback on how to improve their audition skills in a fun, safe environment.
Observers will learn how to prepare for an audition, and will be invited to witness and learn from the mock auditions of the Participants, including hearing feedback of those mock auditions.
We’ll be sending audition cut selections to everyone by email before the workshop. These cuts are the only ones you can use during the session.
Important Note: This workshop focuses on teaching general audition techniques that apply to a wide range of musicals. It’s not designed to help you prepare specific audition materials for an upcoming show.
Part of TCNWA’s Break A Leg Series. Cheri Headrick holds a Master’s in Choral Conducting and a Postgraduate Certificate in Vocal Performance from the University of Arkansas. She has conducted collegiate choirs for five years and children’s choirs for four years. She has performed as a chorus member and a soloist for the University of Arkansas Schola Cantorum and SONA singers. She was the Choral Music Director for Arts One Presents’ (Springdale) production of The Hunchback of Notre Dame and the Music Director/Pit Conductor for their production of Sweeney Todd in 2023. Cheri is the Music Director and Co-Founder of the vocal arts group The Camerata of NWA and she serves on the Siloam Springs Music Festival Board. She has taught Voice with her private studio for over ten years, conducts and performs for various music festivals and programs, and is currently a contemporary Worship Pastor at the Vineyard Church in Springdale.

Event Details
The twice-a-year celebration of Indian classical music, showcasing the talent and passion of local artists in the northwest Arkansas area.
Sponsored by the Ra-Ve Cultural Foundation, (Ra-Ve), the Sapthaswara celebration of Indian music is YOUR opportunity to perform in front of live, enthusiastic, and knowledgeable audiences. You bring the talent, the skill, and the passion, and Ra-Ve provides everything else—the venue, the promotion, the support and encouragement, and the technology. You’ve worked hard to learn your art; maybe you’re just starting, maybe you’ve been studying it for years. But no matter where you are in your musical journey, you have a home at Sapthaswara—all levels are welcome! We love to hear your personal interpretations of classical traditions, but we also embrace new music based on classical and folk forms (not fusion or Bollywood; the mission of RVCF is to promote traditional Indian performing arts).
Come celebrate with us at Sapthaswara! Book your seat now!

Lorraine Hansberry’s timeless masterpiece unfolds on Chicago’s South Side, delving into the divergent dreams and conflicts within the Younger family across three generations. The play paints a vivid portrait of their struggle to retain dignity amidst a harsh and ever-changing world.
