NORTHWEST ARKANSAS, Jan. 31, 2025 – The sensational musical comedy revival,
Funny Girl, is coming to Walton
Arts Center March 18-23 for eight performances. Tickets are $42 – $93.
The show broke box office records week after week and received unanimous raves on Broadway, now this bittersweet comedy about the indomitable Fanny Brice is coming to Northwest Arkansas. As a girl from the Lower East Side who dreamed of a life on the stage,
everyone told her she’d never be a star. Then something funny happened – she became one of the most beloved performers in history, shining brighter than the brightest lights of Broadway.
The “vivacious and delightfully glitzy” (Vogue) Broadway revival features iconic songs, including “Don’t Rain On My Parade,” “I’m the Greatest Star” and “People.”
The Observer describes the revival as “sparkling and explosively entertaining!”
Funny Girl is directed by Tony Award® winner Michael Mayer (Thoroughly Modern Millie) and features the classic score by Tony, Grammy®, and Academy® award winner Jule Styne and lyrics by Tony nominee and Grammy Award winner Bob Merrill, (comprising additional
songs from Styne & Merrill). The original book by Isobel Lennart, from an original story by Miss Lennart, is revised by Tony winner Harvey Fierstein (Kinky Boots, Newsies).
Funny Girl features choreography by Ellenore Scott (Falsettos); tap choreography by Ayodele Casel; scenic design by Tony Award winner David Zinn (SpongeBob SquarePants: The Musical); costume design by Tony Award winner Susan Hilferty (Wicked);
lighting design by Tony Award winner Kevin Adams (Hedwig and the Angry Inch); sound design by Tony Award winner Brian Ronan (Beautiful: The Carole King Musical) and Cody Spencer; hair and wig design by Campbell Young Associates; music supervision
by Emmy Award® winner Michael Rafter; casting by Jim Carnahan, CSA and Jason Thinger, CSA; orchestrations by Chris Walker; dance, vocal and incidental music arrangements by Alan Williams, and additional arrangements by David Dabbon and Carmel Dean. The associate
director is Johanna McKeon; the associate choreographer is Jeffrey Gugliotti; the assistant director is Torya Beard; the assistant tap choreographer is Dre Torres.
Cheers to a fun time! Purchase a cocktail class for $39 and enjoy light appetizers from Fayetteville High School’s Brightwater culinary students while you learn how to mix two specialty cocktails crafted by our in-house team of local mixologists. You’ll leave

THEO VON grew up in the stray animal belt of southern Louisiana. He was a child there and became an adult slowly there.
He can be seen and heard weekly on his widely popular podcasts that garner millions of listens/views a month THIS PAST WEEKEND, and KING AND THE STING.
Theo’s new comedy special REGULAR PEOPLE was filmed at the historic Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, TN and is now streaming on Netflix.
In the Spring of 2020 Theo completed his two year DARK ARTS TOUR, which took him across America, Australia, and Europe, and another country. He’s currently on the road with his RETURN OF THE RAT TOUR.
If you want to know how Theo is doing he is probably doing the best he can; which varies.

A returning Northwest Arkansas favorite, David Sedaris has charmed audiences with his sometimes neurotic and seemingly mundane, yet profound storytelling for more than 25 years. Beloved for his personal essays, books, short stories and NPR segments, the three-time Grammy Award® nominee’s material isn’t always what you would expect.
His anecdotes are riddled with strange addictions, unbelievable job experiences and his eccentric family, but it’s his droll and conversational style that makes him one of the greatest humorists writing today.
