Contact Improv Freeform Dance Jam Birthday Bash

January 9th is the organizer’s Birthday so this Jam is gonna be a birthday celebration for them as well as a Welcoming of the CI Dance Jam into the New Year!!

Leave your living room dance floor and join us for a dance exploration guided by Kyndal Saverse, founder of Fayetteville Movement Festival, with curated music to support and expand your creative range.

Contact Improv is a dance form involving physical contact and weight sharing between dancers. It utilizes balance, strength, breath, awareness and attention, and promotes relaxation and play. It was developed by Nancy Stark Smith and Steve Paxton in the 1970’s and is practiced internationally today.

This NOW WEEKLY jam is an opportunity to play on the dance floor! It is a supportive environment with guidelines to uphold respect, safety, and consent. This is a developing community, participant funded, building a dance jam from the ground up with room for ideas and collaboration!
