Workshop: Join me at 214 by CACHE for a needle felting workshop that focuses on creating eyes. This workshop is part of my artist residency at CACHE (Creative Arkansas Community Hub & Exchange), which is generously provided by The Creative Exchange fund (CSF) presented in partnership with the Tyson Family Foundation. My art residency project

All needle felting supplies will be provided, and you’ll get to take these home after the workshop. Supplies include felting needles, needle felting foam, a background fabric, wool, and embroidery hoop.

After an introduction to basics, we’ll dive into more specific methods to build up your felting skills and work toward creating beautiful eye portraits. Topics I’ll discuss and demonstrate include getting an image onto your fabric, different techniques for blending colors, and how to achieve fine details and various textures.

I encourage you to come with a photo or two of eyes you’d like to create! Bring your reference photos on your phone, or printed (about 5” x 7” size) on paper if you’d like to transfer it directly rather than just sketching it. Masks are encouraged and appreciated.

Cancellation Policy: You will be refunded in full if you need to cancel, as long as you send me an email or message before the event. Please provide as much notice as you can. If you do not send notification prior to 2pm on July 24, no refund will be given.
