As a choreographic showcase of community artists, Dance Chance NWA provides a platform for local dancemakers to share works in progress and receive feedback in three informal events throughout the season. Dance Chance NWA utilizes a moderated feedback process for engaging choreographers and audience members in meaningful dialogue about dance as a creative process. Attendees at the works in process showings have had the opportunity to give feedback based on their authentic responses, while simultaneously allowing dance makers to seek out answers to their most pressing artistic questions. Now, at the end of the season, after receiving motivating impetus to get back in the studio and continue honing their craft, these choreographers’ works will be presented in a more highly produced performance at the Momentary.
