Daveed Diggs, actor, writer, producer, and musician, will deliver a moderated question and answer session as part of the Distinguished Lectures Committee’s series at 7 pm Wednesday, March 27th, at the Fayetteville Town Center.

Diggs originated the double role of “Thomas Jefferson” and “Marquis de Lafayette” in the global sensation, Hamilton: An American Musical and won a Tony Award and a Grammy Award for his performance. He reprised his dual role in the Hamilton movie on Disney and earned nominations for an Emmy and a SAG Award.

Outside of Broadway, Diggs has a prolific career as an actor, producer, and musician. He has voiced “Sebastian” in the live-action adaptation of The Little Mermaid, “Paul” in the Oscar winning film Soul, and characters in TV shows such as Bob’s Burgers and Bojack Horseman. He also starred in the Emmy nominated series, Black-ish and the film Wonder. As a hip-hop artist, Diggs has toured internationally solo and as a member of the trio “clipping.” The trio received a Hugo Award nomination for their second album, “Splendor & Misery”.
