The League of Women Voters of Washington County (LWVWC) is excited to announce its Drinks and Dialogue event for January. This gathering will take place at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, January 8, at Crisis Brewing, 210 South Nelson Hackett Blvd., Fayetteville, AR 72701.
The guest speaker will be Gina Holland Shelton, a former national reporter for The Associated Press, where her 17-year career included five years spent covering the U.S. Supreme Court. She joined the University of Arkansas School of Journalism and Strategic Media in 2013 as a faculty member, and, since 2023, she has led the school’s Center for Media Ethics and Literacy. She serves as campus adviser to the student chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists (SPJ) and is president of the Northwest Arkansas Pro SPJ chapter.
This event is open to the public, and admission is free.
