First Thursday: Threads of Identity Reception

Art Ventures invites everyone to our First Thursday event and public reception for “Threads of Identity” on Thursday, August 4, between 5 pm and 8 pm.

During the reception, guests will be treated to a live performance by guitarist Nate Smerage. Also, free beverages and refreshments are provided by Art Ventures.

About the exhibition: This exhibition features works within the subject of fashion and style that explores artistic expression and cultural identity. The artworks displayed explore how fashion and art may be intertwined through ceramics, textile artwork, jewelry making, traditional painting, and other mediums. Featured Artists: Japheth Asiedu-Kwarteng, Cheri Bohn, Rani Bondhus, Shelby Fleming, Adam Fulwiler, Drew Gentle, Eloa Jane, Cheryl Kellar, Mack Leal, Connie Lim, Leslie Perryman, Denise Sagan, Kathleen Schwarz, and Gala Reneaum Tello.

Parking is limited so we encourage attendees to use our shuttle that runs every 15 minutes from the bus stop at Church and Center to the Art Ventures Gallery during this event.
