From the Heart: The Power of It

You’re invited to join Art Ventures on Thursday, March 3 between 5 pm and 8:30 pm for our March First Thursday Reception, and the opening public reception to From the Heart: The Power of It. This event will be held at our gallery on 20 S. Hill Ave, Fayetteville AR, 72701.

From the Heart: The Power It! is an exhibition highlighting the power of women’s voices in visual arts. It reminds us of the societal shifts needed to empower women to pursue their goals without bias or barriers, and honors women’s social, economic, cultural, and political achievements, despite structural opposition. This exhibition is a celebration of how women continue to advocate for themselves and the world around them.

From the Heart will feature work by Cheri Bohn, Cheryl Buell, Ana Buitrago, Lee Ann Dodson, Amy Eichler, Karolyn Farrell, Justice Henderson, Eloa Jane, Hannah Jeremiah, Cheryl Kellar, Diana Michelle, Denice Nicholson, and Lourdes Valverde.

In addition to the exhibition, this First Thursday will feature a live portrait sketch by Wade Hampton, who has participated in a profusion of art exhibitions throughout the NYC metro area, towards Arkansas, and back to New Jersey. The live portrait sketch will be executed in charcoal and/or graphite/pencil and will run for two hours.

This First Thursday event is free and open to the public! Beverages and refreshments will be provided by Art Ventures, with donations from Ozark Beer Company and Fossil Cove. 

We’re handing out free At-Home Covid Tests to the first 75 guests!

Parking is available onsite in front of the gallery in the yard. Free shuttle pickup begins at 4:45 p.m. on Center St. between the Fayetteville Downtown Square and the Fire Station.
