Event Details

MONAH is excited to welcome Musckogee Storyteller, Will Hill to the Hear Our Voices series! Watch and listen to Legends by Will Hill, a composition of fun Native American stories.

Will Hill is a full-blood Native American Indian. He was raised as a traditional storyteller of the Nogonugojeeh (Storytelling Society) of the Muskogean people.  He was the first American Indian to perform at the National Museum of the American Indian, a component of the Smithsonian Institute in Washington D.C. He has performed for Walt Disney World and has been featured at many storytelling conferences and festivals around the country.  Hill continues to provide arts and education to schools and communities across the nation.  By keeping the stories of his people alive with each folklore performance he is an American Indian storyteller by destiny.

Legends is a storytelling performance, which combines folklore with music.  The stories are filled with humor.  They have a lot of animal characters.  You will be serenaded by the native flute, turtle shell rattle, and the buffalo hide drum.  You will be thrilled out of your seat and charmed out of your moccasins. A storytelling adventure as told by one of Native America’s greatest recanteurs.
