Las Ofrendas: A Dia De Muertos Celebration

Las Ofrendas: A Dia De Muertos Celebration, hosted by the LatinX Theatre Project, features ofrendas created by the group, as well as ones created by community partners. This year we are featuring ofrendas by locals Diana Dominguez, Ever Villalobos, Paty Rodriguez, and Springdale High School’s native Spanish speaker class. We will also have a community ofrenda where the people can create a flower and/or write a message to leave on the altar to honor a loved one who has passed.

In addition to the showcase of ofrendas, we will have a short performance called “Put Me On The Altar”, which features themes of Dia de Muertos. There will also be reading and performance of “River of Mariposas” for the ninos, as well as a kids corner with crafts and activities for them.

Lastly, conchas y cafe will be available to snack on during the event.
