Live! At Turnbow Concert Series - FAYETTEVILLE JAZZ COLLECTIVE BIG BAND

The NAJS partners with the City of Springdale for the Live! At Turnbow Concert Series to present the FAYETTEVILLE JAZZ COLLECTIVE BIG BAND. This outdoor concert once again features the “wall of sound” created by this swinging jazz orchestra in the heart of Downtown Springdale. The FJC is a 18 piece jazz orchestra consisting of top shelf musicians from the N.W. Arkansas region who have come together to challenge themselves and delight audiences by playing jazz written and arranged for a large ensemble. The Collective is made up of great soloists and ensemble players who have gathered to create a whole which is greater than the sum of the parts. The FJC never intended to rest solely on the laurels of the classic big-band charts, although they cover some of the timeless material of Basie, Ellington and others. Part of their objective is to add to the tradition with original music and arrangements.
