We are celebrating Lead Belly’s 134th birthday by hosting a multimedia event that will discuss the life, legacy, and music of one of the 20th century’s popular musicians. He lived a life that faced racism in a Jim Crow south and was one of the pioneers of modern day Rock & Roll.
