Event Details

The Super Bowl of egg nog-making championships is coming up in Fayetteville next week.

Of course, we’re talking about the Nog Off, the annual egg nog competition held for more than a decade each holiday season at Maxine’s Tap Room.

This year’s event is set for Monday, Dec. 9, and will include some of the talented nog makers in the region including the hosts from Maxine’s Tap Room, along with Bo Counts from Pinpoint, Jake Gardner from Theo’s and Tusker’s Tavern, Trey Fincher form the Guisinger, Shaun Traxler from Cheers at the OPO, Amber Hurlbut from Infusion, Carsson Steele from Atlas, and Mitchell Griffith from Griffith Goods and Spirits.

Attendees can stop by for a flight of the egg nogs created by the local establishments, and will be given a ballot. After that, they’ll taste the delicious creations and cast their vote for their favorites.

This is the 11th year for the event that has raised more than $70,000 in total for local charities, including NWA Center for Equality, Children’s Safety Center, Magdaline Serenity House, Fayetteville Independent Restaurant Alliance and others.

Proceeds from this year’s event will benefit the Maxine’s Legacy Fund, the legacy endowment created recently in honor of the late entrepreneur and proprietor of Maxine’s, Maxine Miller.
