Painting the Arkansas Parks at Historic Washington State Park

Heart of America Artists Association will host their next plein air painting event March 15-17, 2024 in Washington, Arkansas coinciding with the Park’s 56th Annual Jonquil Festival.  This 101-acre state park features 54 pioneer-era buildings, including a courthouse & a bank.  Artists will paint anywhere in the park March 15 and 16, and the public is invited to watch as they create.  On Sunday March 17th, artists will present their best pieces for judging, exhibit and sale, open to the public at a location and time TBD.  Over $1,000 cash awards to be given: 1st place – $500, 2nd place – $300, 3rd place $200 plus honorable mentions.
