Reception for Outlines of Imagination

You’re invited to join Art Ventures on Tuesday, July 19 between 5 pm and 7 pm for the public reception for Outlines of Imagination, celebrating the work of Jeffry Cantu at Startup Junkie located in the Pryor Center. Come see this exhibition and meet the artist at 1 East Center Street, Fayetteville, AR, 72701. Light refreshments and beverages will be provided at the reception. 

Using oil, gouache, india ink, and acrylic paints, Cantu seeks to immerse the viewer deep within the mind’s natural movement and churn. Sharp lines create boundaries for the more fluid, dynamic layers to flow within, just as defined points in our consciousness allow our most imaginative and inventive ideas to gain momentum. Cantu’s goal is to showcase how a singular point creates a reality, marking the chemistry and combustion of ideas and images. 

Cantu’s freehand style and approach invites the viewer to also be free in how they view the work. There is a playful quality to the work that is also an invitation to not only feel the outlines and inner churning of imagination, but to also take joy in it.
