Event Details

Scott Dormis Evans’ musical roots trace back to the early ’90s in Stillwater, Oklahoma, where they came of age playing with the redneck hippie jam band, Medicine Show. Along this musical odyssey, the artist shared stages, after-hours jams, and songwriting sessions with a myriad of talented individuals, including Wink Burcham, Randy Crouch, The Red Dirt Rangers, Cross Canadian Ragweed, Cody Canada, Jason Boland, Monica Taylor, Great Divide, Mike McClure, Stoney LaRue, Bob Childers, Tom Skinner, Brandon Jenkins, Jimmy LaFave, Greg Jacobs, Evan Felker, John Fullbright, Bill Erickson, Mike Shannon (The Daddy’O who introduced them to many of these legendary figures), and countless others too numerous to name.

The profound impact of these musicians on Scott’s musical ethos is immeasurable and beyond their comprehension. Their influence resonates deeply in the artist’s creative spirit, shaping the very fabric of their songwriting. After a two-decade hiatus dedicated to raising an incredible daughter, the compulsion to jot down songs never waned, a testament to the enduring force of musical inspiration that continues to shape the artist’s artistic expression.
