The department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at the University of Arkansas is pleased to announce the 2024 High School Programming Contest! High school students from across the state are invited to compete in an all-day programming contest hosted at the University of Arkansas, Fayetteville. This contest is FREE to participate in, and competing students will receive a free t-shirt for registering. Students must compete with an attending coach from their school.

After the reorganization of departments here in the College of Engineering, the CSCE department has grown into what is now the EECS department. In EECS, we are excited to continue traditions from previous years. And with that, The High School Programming Contest registration is now open!

In the past, hundreds of students have squared off in the problem-solving event. This year has a twist! We have made the move from our previous platform to the new CodeChef platform for the contest, allowing contestants the use of programming languages like C, C (V14 and v17), Java, and Python3!
