Mission

NWA Makers Club exists to support and connect makers, artists, crafters, and creatives across Northwest Arkansas by providing a shared platform and community. The Club strives to make it easy to find local handmade goods and services, to encourage collaboration and creative exchange, and to spotlight the talents and craftsmanship of the region’s independent makers.

About

NWA Makers Club was formed in January 2021 with the goal of creating a community and network for local makers, artists, and creatives of all mediums and business sizes. The founders recognized that Northwest Arkansas had a wealth of creative talent but lacked a unified center or directory to connect makers and people who want to buy locally made goods.

Shortly after launching, the group built a website that functions as a directory of local makers and their businesses. On the site, makers can present galleries of their products or services along with contact information, making it easier than ever for buyers to find and support local creatives. If someone needs a particular handmade item but does not see it listed, the Club offers to help locate a maker who can fill that request.

As the Club grew, the community expanded rapidly into a vibrant and welcoming network of creators who enjoy collaborating, sharing work, giving feedback, and encouraging each other. The membership has welcomed a wide variety of makers — from artists to woodworkers, crafters, jewelry makers, home‑goods creators, and more — all contributing to a rich and diverse creative community.

In addition to the online directory, NWA Makers Club organizes in‑person events such as markets and fairs where makers can showcase and sell their work directly to the public. These events also foster community among makers and buyers, offering a space for connection, discovery, and celebration of local creativity.
Today NWA Makers Club continues to grow as a central hub for the creative community in Northwest Arkansas. The Club remains committed to making it easy to support local makers, to build connections among creatives, and to keep the region’s handmade culture alive and thriving.
