About
The local improv comedy group Phunbags marked its 15th anniversary in September with a celebration performance at Six Twelve Coffeehouse. The group’s name, which is spelled with a “ph,” reflects the group’s long-running catchphrase: “We have a Ph double D in comedy,” co-producer of the group Mark Landon Smith said.
The milestone show brought together both longtime fans and first-time audience members for a night of laughter, quick wit and spontaneous fun. This is the kind of entertainment that has defined Phunbags since their start, Smith said. Smith, who is also an executive director of Arts Live Theatre, said that being part of the troupe remains special to him even after 15 years.
