Table Talks is a free, monthly peer-to-peer conversation series featuring two local creatives and a shared community meal
Springdale, AR —The Medium, a space for bold, creative expression in downtown Springdale, announces experimental artist Kat Wilson and ceramicist Rainy Bray-Hopwood as the April hosts of Table Talks: A Peer-to-Peer Conversation Series. This monthly event offers a platform for local creatives to discuss their creative processes and personal journeys around a designated theme. The topic for April is “Community: leveraging community & resources to make your project happen."
Table Talks allows the public and local artists to come together, find inspiration, share a meal, and build friendships. Since November 2023, more than 150 community members have participated in Table Talks, engaging in discussions ranging from overcoming mistakes to sustaining momentum in their creative careers. This series will continue through June 2024.

"Community engagement is often integral to an artist's career," says Lisa Marie Evans, CACHE’s Director of Creative Development. "This month’s Table Talks will be infused with positive energy as Kat and Rainy, both creatives hailing from and rooted in Arkansas, explore how community has played an integral part in their creative journeys. I am excited to discover how their unique paths intertwine and connect."
Rainy Bray-Hopwood is an Ozarks-born artist who draws inspiration from wilderness, clay, and community. She is also the founder of Fifth Street Studio and Fifth Market.
Experimental artist Kat Wilson from Northwest Arkansas creates theatrical, participatory, humanistic work. Published in Communication Arts, Los Angeles Times, and The Washington Post, her work has been featured at Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art and the Louvre Museum.
