Mermaid romance, anyone? 🧜🏻‍♀️ On Sunday, February 8, come meet local author @emmagpearl from 1-3 p.m. at Pearl’s and get your signed copy of her book, THE WHIP IN THE WAVES.

The Whip in the Waves is a dual-POV romantic fantasy from the perspective of Wyna, a young woman just breaking into the world of mermaids and magic and revenge, and Thessa, a woman who’s been entrenched in this world since she was a little girl. Their lives are ruled by their duty to protect these creatures of the sea but they’re about to learn the true price of devotion. Readers can expect a story filled to the brim with love and violence, trust and betrayal, and, of course, mermaids.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR:
Emma G. Pearl graduated from Indiana University with a Bachelor’s degree in English Literature and Folklore and Ethnomusicology. She likes to frame her interests around the “three Fs:” folklore, fantasy, and feminism—and writes her novels to reflect that. She currently resides in Northwest Arkansas and spends her time reading, writing, and playing board games with her boyfriend and her three cats, Dora, Bidge, and Ootwob.
