The concert will feature the distinctive voices of the Carnatic violin, played by Kartik Balachandran; the Iranian kamancheh and setar, played by MohammadJavad Khorsravi; the Balkan flute, played by Nikola Radan; the Middle Eastern doumbek, in the hands of Patrick Griffin; and the Spanish guitar, played by Robin Bibeau. Blue Thread brings together musicians whose traditions stem from Iran, India, the Balkans, the Iberian Peninsula, and the folk traditions of the Americas.
