CACHE today announces its partnership with George Kaiser Family Foundation (GKFF) to launch the Tulsa-based Artists Creative Fund (ACF).
Through ACF, 20 project-specific awards of $10,000 each will be awarded to Tulsa-based artists. This fund rewards artistic accomplishments to date and supports the continued development of creative projects across various disciplines.
GKFF, which founded the successful Tulsa Artist Fellowship, tapped CACHE to lead the fund’s application process and professional development programming after seeing the organization’s success in executing similar programs such as the Creative Exchange Fund and the Year of Learning and Outreach.
CACHE believes the health of Northwest Arkansas’ arts ecosystem depends on its ability to create exchanges with adjacent communities and generate exposure for local talent. Tulsa’s adjacency to Northwest Arkansas and CACHE programming already underway, such as Groundwaves Oklahoma—the sister to Groundwaves Arkansas—has allowed our relationship with the city’s creative community to grow and provides an ideal opportunity for strategic partnership.
CACHE is a proud ambassador of our region’s artists and culture-bearers and remains dedicated to Northwest Arkansas. We will continue to research, empower, and create for our region’s creative ecosystem through ongoing initiatives such as the Arts Job Board, the Artist Directory, and YOLO; and programs like the Creative Exchange Fund, which subsidizes artists time, access to space, and professional development resources, the Municipal Arts Alliance, which is creating a shared arts policy agenda for the region, and MOAC, the two-year music organization development program.
