Mission

The Mission of Fayetteville Movement Festival 501(c)3 is to bring together community members making positive changes in the world of dance, yoga, and art. We work to bridge communities to share resiliency strategies that nurture creativity from within. Fayetteville Movement Festival hopes to inspire movements that catalyze these changes.

About

The Fayetteville Movement Festival was established as a 501(c)(3) organization with a vision to create an inclusive, healing, and creative event centered on dance, yoga, art, and movement.

Held annually at Mount Sequoyah Center in Fayetteville, AR — a retreat-style, nature-surrounded venue — the festival brings together local and visiting participants for a weekend of classes, performance, community-building, and embodied arts.

Over the years, the festival has broadened its offerings beyond traditional dance or yoga — incorporating a mix of movement disciplines, functional movement, somatic practices, and expressive arts.

In recent years, the festival has grown in both scope and community impact. By 2025 it hosted its 4th annual event, demonstrating steady continuity and increasing support among the Northwest Arkansas (NWA) movement, art, and wellness communities.

Fayetteville Movement Festival remains committed to accessibility, inclusivity, and creativity. All classes are designed to be accessible for all bodies, ages, and skill levels — underscoring the festival’s dedication to reducing barriers to movement, expression, and community connection.
