About

Historic Cane Hill Inc. is a nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving and promoting the rich history and cultural heritage of Canehill, Arkansas—one of the earliest settlements in the state. The community’s story dates back to the 1820s and includes one of the first colleges in Arkansas, significant Civil War history, and historic architecture still standing today. Historic Cane Hill manages preserved buildings such as the 1886 Cane Hill College, the 1891 Presbyterian Church, the museum, and gallery spaces, and hosts exhibitions, history hikes, festivals, and educational programming that connect people to this legacy. Through restoration efforts, community partnerships, and public events, Historic Cane Hill keeps local history alive and accessible to all.
