Music Moves brings the history of Black music and art into the present.
Black music and art have made significant contributions to global culture and have had a profound impact on American music and art. From the blues and jazz to hip hop and R&B, Black musicians and artists have created styles that have influenced and inspired generations of musicians and artists across the world. Black music and art have also been a vital means of cultural expression and political activism, giving voice to the struggles and triumphs of the Black community. Music Moves has developed curriculum, programs, and performances to continue to share the legacy of the most innovative people in the world.
