Ozark Ballet Theater’s mission is to foster a love for ballet within the Northwest Arkansas community. We strive to provide equitable access to high-quality ballet training, nurturing talent from all backgrounds. About

Ozark Ballet Theater was established to bring classical ballet training and performance opportunities to Northwest Arkansas. Under the guidance of its leadership team, the company offers a full academy program with levels ranging from pre‑ballet for young children through advanced, pre‑professional training. Students receive instruction in ballet technique, contemporary dance, pointe, and related disciplines, giving them a comprehensive foundation in classical and modern dance.

At the heart of the organization is a commitment to both education and performance. Each year the company produces multiple full‑scale productions and smaller performance opportunities, giving academy students and professional dancers alike the chance to perform live. One of their signature productions is their own rendition of “The Nutcracker,” which brings together students and guest professionals to stage a holiday tradition for the community.

Ozark Ballet Theater also emphasizes community support and accessibility. The organization offers scholarships and financial assistance so that talented dancers who might otherwise be unable to afford training can still participate. By doing this, OBT aims to open the doors of ballet to as many individuals as possible, regardless of background.
